ECMF

The ECMF Project is a basic platform to build System Management Applications for large, distributed Environments. ECMF is not a static application with predefined tasks, but a very flexible base to easily construct tasks and bundles of task or applications to manage whatever systems you want.

ECMF provides an abstract model of objects and relationships between objects. This model is implemented with components to store objects with their attributes in LDAP, with an easy to configure WEB based Graphical User Interface, with a reliable transport network to bring data from the centralized Point Of Management safely to the Distribution Endpoint, where Agents reside to translate to system commands. All of those components are highly flexible and customizable.

ECMF is the base for System Management Application, that have to deal with a large number of system and multiple system platforms. Development can now concentrate on the objects that have to be managed and focus on the attributes that are of importance. Using ECMF shields the developer from data storage, GUI programing and Data Transport.

ECMF is platform independent using Java-Technology, HTML and PHP.

SIAM

SIAM is the Security, Identity and Access Manager, which is the first application running under the Enterprise Control Manager Framework.

SIAM manages Users, Groups, Roles and Security Resources on Linux, AIX^*, and Windows^*. Other platforms are in plan (z/OS^*).

By using ECMF as platform SIAM is also able to manage other applications as LDAP mail repositories, Lotus Notes^* etc. Individual and user written applications may also be managed concerning users, groups, roles and security rules. We will provide support for the Asterisk telephone server as a sample.
